Mount Vernon, “The City of Happy Homes” offers the best of both worlds, suburbia with urban convenience. It is one of Lower Westchester's fastest growing cities. It's rich in diversity, being the third largest city in the county. Manhattan bound commuters enjoy having less than a 30 minute ride to Grand Central station from one of the city's three Metro North train stations. The proposal calls for thousands of new residential units & square footage of retail space. It’s expected to impact the area very positively. It will attract more development and opportunities which will benefit the city long term.
